Do you have a Hubpage ? lemme know!

July 31 Talking about Bump! Mexico City (clip 1) I ran across this video and it brought back some thoughts of the year I spent living in Mexico last year. I loved living down there for a year. Anyone else been to Mexico Quote Bump! Mexico City (clip 1) July 24 me a "newbie" ? yikes ! Now I feel like such a "newbie" ! How'd I get here this time?
....About 19 years ago, I went and took a Introduction to Computers class at my local community college for fun. BOY was I hooked, confused but none the less hooked . Imagine just to learn for starters how to turn it on to how to actually get around in the installed programs .....those were the "good ole' days" my friend
I was 27, had 19 month old and a 2 month old, so time away from home was very very limited. I was a single parent for all practical purposes. Second semester of night classes a friend (who also had kids the same age) and I enrolled to take the same class on alternating days in order for us each to have a built in babysitter for class night....and that lasted barely the semester cause her hubby was an idiot who didn't approve of her doing something if it meant he had to watch his own kids for a few hours in the evening while he watched TV or slept.
I used to go early on Saturdays -literally as the doors were being unlocked and do my homework assignments before all the young kids, you know the ones - straight out of high school and into college, awoke from their Friday night hang-overs.
Most computers back then were IBM and were big and heavy, had an enormous manuals and the programs also had huge manuals and it was very tideous and hard to retain alot of the things I learned at class because I didn't have a desktop or access to one and never mind getting on the worldwide web ! ! I'm was no typist by any means then and these days I hen peck with only my right hand...so at first I pecked here and there on the keyboard. You'd be amazed of how you learn where the letters are quickly. After my second semester of classes I had to have one. Didn't really know what for other than to be able to do my homework, study and have some fun while not having to go to the computer lab on campus and hope it wasn't full in order to do my homework.
Imagine going to campus to do "home"work. I knew that didn't make sense back then.
